Terms of Service

1. Operator and acceptance

These Terms govern your use of GIF Optimizer at gif-optimizer.com (the "Service"), operated by Wu Zhenrong, an individual operating in China ("we," "us," or "our").

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service. You must have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms; if you are a minor, use the Service only with a parent or guardian's permission and supervision. If you use it for an organization, you must be authorized to act for that organization.

2. What the Service does

The Service provides animated GIF compression, resizing, color reduction, frame reduction, and encoding adjustments. It uses software running in your browser rather than an AI content-generation service. Results depend on the source file, your chosen settings, and your device. Some settings can reduce visual quality or increase file size.

We may change features or temporarily interrupt the Service for maintenance, technical issues, or security reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or any particular compression ratio.

3. Subscription plans and digital delivery

Single-file GIF compression remains free. GIF Optimizer Pro costs USD 9.90 per month and includes local batch compression of up to 20 GIF files, with a combined input size of 100 MB per batch, and ZIP download of the results. Performance depends on your device; files that fail processing are reported and excluded from the archive, and originals are retained when a compressed candidate is larger. The checkout shows applicable taxes and recurring payment information before you purchase. Paid access is delivered digitally after payment is confirmed by Waffo; no physical goods are shipped.

Payments are processed through Waffo Pancake's hosted checkout in a separate tab. We do not store full payment card numbers or card security codes. A failed payment may delay or suspend paid access until resolved. If paid access is not delivered, contact us with your transaction reference.

Access is linked to a signed billing cookie in the browser used for checkout. After payment, save your private recovery code from the Payment status page to restore Pro in another browser or after clearing cookies. The cookie lasts 30 days and a recovery code lasts one year; you may save a fresh code while you still have access. Keep the code private because it authorizes access to your subscription. If you lose access and the code, contact support from your purchase email for ownership verification and recovery.

4. Automatic renewal and cancellation

By selecting a paid subscription and confirming the recurring-payment authorization at checkout, you authorize recurring charges for the amount and interval disclosed there until you cancel. Pro renews monthly at USD 9.90, plus applicable taxes disclosed at checkout. Simply visiting or using the free tool does not authorize a charge.

You may cancel future renewals at any time through the Waffo customer portal, signing in with the email used at checkout. You may also request cancellation by emailing 932531647w@gmail.com from your purchase email address. We will acknowledge email requests within two business days; if processing a timely cancellation request causes an additional renewal charge, that charge will be refunded.

Cancellation stops future renewals, and paid access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Cancellation alone does not automatically refund the current period. We will notify you at least seven days before an annual renewal and at least 30 days before a price increase takes effect. You can cancel before the new price applies. Any trial conversion, if offered, will disclose its date and charge before signup and require your authorization.

5. Refund policy

• First subscription: You may request a full refund within seven calendar days of your first subscription payment. This guarantee applies once per customer and does not apply to routine renewals.
• Accidental renewal: You may request a full refund within 48 hours of a renewal payment if you have not used the paid features during the renewed period.
• Duplicate or incorrect charges: Confirmed duplicate charges and overcharged amounts will be refunded in full.
• Non-delivery or extended interruption: If paid access cannot be delivered, we will refund the affected payment. An interruption of paid functionality caused by us lasting more than 72 consecutive hours qualifies for a proportional refund for the unavailable period.
• Other requests: Outside these cases, subscription payments are nonrefundable, subject to your mandatory legal rights. Ending the Service for reasons unrelated to your breach will result in a proportional refund of prepaid unused time.

Request a refund at 932531647w@gmail.com and include your purchase email, transaction ID, and reason. Do not send payment card details. We will acknowledge your request within two business days and initiate approved refunds to the original payment method within five business days. Your payment provider or bank may take an additional five to ten business days to post the refund.

An approved full subscription refund ends the paid access covered by that payment and cancels its future renewal. Nothing in this policy limits statutory withdrawal, refund, or consumer rights. Where immediate digital delivery requires consent or an acknowledgment concerning withdrawal rights, it will be requested separately at checkout.

6. Your files and intellectual property

You retain your rights in your original files and optimized files. You must have the rights or permission needed to process and use the content you select. Processing a file does not grant you any rights in someone else's content.

The tool processes files locally in your browser; it does not upload your GIF files to our servers. Selecting a file does not transfer ownership to us. Our website branding and software remain subject to their applicable intellectual property rights and third-party software licenses.

7. Acceptable use

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and content you are entitled to process.
• Do not use it to infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, or to create or distribute unlawful or exploitative content.
• Do not attempt to compromise the website, introduce malicious code, bypass security controls, or disrupt other users' access.
• Do not falsely claim affiliation with GIF Optimizer or misrepresent the origin of the Service.

8. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains local file processing, hosting, external software delivery, and optional Google Analytics on the homepage. You can allow or reject analytics through the footer's Analytics preferences control. Third-party services are subject to their own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimers and your responsibilities

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or error-free operation. Keep backups of your originals and check optimized files before distributing or relying on them.

10. Liability and consumer rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses resulting from your use of the Service, including lost profits or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service whenever you choose. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, security risks, or legal requirements. Because no account is required, there is no account-deletion process for the current tool.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. Please contact us to attempt to resolve a concern. You retain the right to pursue remedies available under applicable law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We will publish revised Terms on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be announced on the website before they take effect where required by applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
